On the latest edition of the Major League Soccer Talk Podcast : This Week in US Soccer, your hosts Chris Webb and Chris Riordan bring you a view of the beautiful game from an American and regional perspective. As usual, it starts with a run through the latest North American soccer news … including Fox winning the American English language broadcasting rights for the upcoming FIFA World Cups and it’s implications for soccer on the continent. Also on the billing is Caleb Porter and Tab Ramos’s appointments for the US Youth National Teams. As well as the crew saying goodbye to Steve Niccol’s time in MLS and reviewing the final matchday of CCL group play.
The second segment has Chris squared reviewing the final week of MLS regular season, where all the playoff spots were filled after midweek action. This left a weekend full of teams still jockeying for position. To close out the show Chris and Chris announce MLS Talk’s MLS Cup playoffs bracket contest … afterwards previewing the upcoming Wild Card round and giving out their own playoff predictions.
