MLS Talk Podcast : This Week in US Soccer, July 3, 2012

On the latest edition, the Chris and Chris of US Soccer start off by paying tribute to Euro Champion Spain, by remembering the US’s massive 2 – 0 win in the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup Semifinals. Where do Chris and Chris rank that win all – time for the USMNT. Then it’s onto the news … Danny Koevermans named player of the week, Beckham snubbed by Great Britain, Boskovic extending contract with DC United, Philadelphia Union continue cleaning house in the Wake of Peter the Great, etc.

After breaking down the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup Quarterfinals, the crew review the past week of MLS action … TFC finally hanging onto a lead and LA Galaxy once again giving up a late lead being among the stories. To close out the show, Webb and Riordan preview the coming week, which features a ton of matches as MLS catches up from the International break. Webbie also tries (and fails) to forgo naming “Locks of the Week”. All this and more on a brand new MLS Talk Podcast : TWIUSS … as always bringing you a view of the beautiful game from an American and regional perspective!
